Our Thoughts | The Westin

The Westin is perhaps the most recognisable landmark in Rusutsu. It’s 23 floors tower over the surrounding resort and provide commanding views of the beautiful countryside. The Westin is the luxury option for those looking to stay close to the ski area, rooms are large, often bi-level, and feature Western style beds and furniture. From your complimentary ski locker it is just a short walk to the Tower Pair chairlift that will then whisk you to the powder covered slopes of East Mountain.

The Westin features in-house shopping and dining experiences that mean you rarely have to leave the hotel to enjoy your holiday. The Atrium provides buffet style breakfast, lunch, and diner options with a diverse range of cuisines. While Kazahana is the quintessential Japanese restaurant, offering Teppanyaki and other Japanese styles of cooking.

The hot spring baths are a fantastic way to relax your muscles after a hard day on the slopes. The Westin baths offer a tantalising array of pools, including an outdoor bath, and of course a sauna. If you hop on the free monorail from The Westin you are a short ride away from the other entertainments available in the resort building. The wave-pool, the arcade and carousel, and the gymnasium are just a few of the attractions to keep you entertained beyond the skiing day.
